Brian and Amanda Holloway built Soggy Dog Wine & Brew for Breckenridge — with a love of good food, good people, and a dream that kept growing louder.
How our name was born

How our name was born

Their family dog Dixie loves the water — and one afternoon their grandson watched her splash and said, "Dixie's just a soggy dog!" That joyful moment became the name and the heartbeat of everything built here.

In December 2023, Brian and Amanda opened their first spot inside a Breckenridge clothing boutique — wine tastings, charcuterie boards, sandwiches, and specialty coffee. Small space, big heart. The community showed up.

When the historic 93-year-old Breckenridge American newspaper building went up for sale in 2024, Brian and Amanda knew it was theirs. Brian — a trained pizzaiolo and Texas Wine Ambassador — renovated it into the home Soggy Dog was always meant to have.

By July 2025, the full restaurant opened its doors: wood-fired pizzas, pasta, craft wine, cold beer, and specialty coffee under one roof. "Welcome Friends" wasn't just a motto — it's how every day begins.
